About the conference

The conference to be held on 7-9 December 2017 at AMU in Poznan is organized by the Department of Japanese Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU) in cooperation with Polish Association for Japanese Studies (PSBJ).
The conference is meant as international and interdisciplinary forum for researchers and students specializing in Japan to discuss issues relevant to contemporary Japan. The second objective of the conference is to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Japanese studies at AMU. The conference is meant therefore as an occasion to access the experience, evaluate both the achievements and problems, as well as to point out to future directions of development for Japanese studies. A special panel on issues related to Japan’s constitution is planned to commemorate the 70th anniversary of its enactment.
